DECEPTION BAY

SUMMARY

 Kate McCoy meets her husband Andy in Fiji after his long season of field work in New Zealand, expecting the surf trip to reconnect them the way it always has. But previously, a questionable incident between Andy and his protégé damaged her trust in him, and she arrives in Fiji eager for the trip to erase the past, for Andy to renew his commitment. However, in Fiji, when Kate meets Jed—a quiet yet big-hearted surfer searching for peace after his father’s untimely death—it is her own commitment which falters.

   In the climax, each character must face their own personal demons: for Jed, it is a fight for survival; for Andy, it is his unraveling rage and an terrifying act of revenge; for Kate, it is bearing the loss of the one man who truly loved her.
